this, we believe, is in san antonio, texas. look at this little guy. listen to him crying for help. but this guy behind the camera and a friend or neighbor, they come to the rescue. they seem to know exactly what to do. they've got a white towel they put over the deer's face. watch. once they get the towel there, this deer completely calms down and just is kind of drooped over, laying on the ground. you can see some wounds on the deer's skin, but not serious. >> and it looks like the hind legs are off the ground which means this is even worse. >> but watch what they do. the guy's prepared. he lifts up the legs and just gently slides the haunches through. and the deer just scampers off, completely unharmed. >> that was easy. >> that was quick. i was expecting it to kind of be a difficult process for them to get that thing out. >> no, they kind of slid the deer up.
1:07 pm
the deer got down, stumbled for a second, got the towel off its head, then you see him scamper across the street. not even looking back. >> the hardest part is getting the towel over the deer's head. what the heck is this thing? >> his name is diego song. >> all about the bionic baby that will creep you out. >> it belongs in a sci-fi film. and going paragliding above the powder. >> i still think it's just spectacular. >> that's a cold ride though. >> see these guys take their first flight of the year "right this minute."

it's not built to scale because all those parts would require special parts. so diego is 4'3" and 66 pounds. his head alone has 27 moving parts. >> he doesn't look so much like a baby. he kind of looks like a freshman in college. >> but know it can mimic a baby's face. the reason they created this is they wanted to design a platform so they could check out the cognitive development of an infant. >> it's really realistic. look the facial movement. >> the money for university of california at san diego was provided by grants. that's why they have this face that looks so human. >> that's a creepy looking thing. you could have nightmares about this. it belongs in a sci-fi film. >> it will be really interesting 50 years from now when these robotics become household items.
1:11 pm
>> this is impressive. it is very impressive what they're able to do with robotics. >> i think it's interesting they're able to understand human development through a robot. >> curious to see where it goes. showing you guys lots of paragliding videos. normally it's over beautiful, green, lush landscapes. not this one. i still think it's spectacular. these guys are paragliding in the czech republica. it's their first flight of the year. trees bare, barren. it's still just beautiful to fly like these guys do. >> that's a cold ride, though. >> that's what i was thinking. they have to have their long johns on. >> i would pack my whole suit with those hot pack things. all down my arms. >> you'd have snot sickles when you came down. >> it's neat to know this is a sport you can do year round.
1:12 pm
it gives you a different perspective in the wintertime. >> and the orange is awesome. >> i bet it's more peaceful to do it this time of year because the land is so quiet when there's snow. you can't really hear anything. it will just be the hum of your fan. >> what would be on your mp3 if you were flying? >> r kelly's "i believe i can fly." ♪ i smell a rat, or more specifically, this family does. they moved into their new home, but inside the garage lurks an evil beast that is just a rat. they arm themselves with what looks like golf clubs and a broom to try to get the rat out of there. of course, a lot of instances like this. [ screaming ] the rat escapes. they see it again.
1:13 pm
eventually the rat makes it into a cardboard box. it's in there with some of their stuff. ever so carefully, they guide this box with rat inside down to the end of the driveway where they plan to set it free. >> the rat picked a nice neighborhood to move into. >> sure did. looks like a nice place. here they are beating on the thing with a putter. rat's not coming out. >> rats have been the torment of men for hundreds of years. it's going to take more than a golf club and a broom to scare this thing. >> but eventually, watch what happens. they flip the box upright. >> come on, guys. man up here.
